The Special District Fairness Act passed the House Oversight and Accountability Committee 32–8 in a bipartisan vote. The bill authorizes federal matching funds for qualifying special district sponsorship programs, creating a federal funding channel that does not currently exist. For city officials: the bill changes the federal funding calculus for district sponsorship structures. A floor vote has not been scheduled. The 32–8 committee margin is strong, but committee passage does not create floor scheduling priority in the current legislative calendar. See also Block Ops BO·1·4·P9.
