Merchants opposing the Industrial Flats BID have not had a vote to respond to yet, but the organizing itself - who signed, what specific services they say the city is already failing to deliver - is worth tracking independent of the committee timeline. The 167-parcel, 73-owner proposal remains in the Los Angeles City Council committee process with no vote scheduled, and the opposition's petition work is the live activity in a process that has otherwise stalled. A petition that organizes merchants around specific service failures is a record of what the city is not doing, and that record persists regardless of how the BID vote resolves.
