The Moultrie DDA is in active discussions over what to do with the Ameris Bank buildings downtown, a small-market version of the bank-branch-departure anchor problem that's shown up in larger corridors as consolidation continues to shrink physical branch footprints nationally.

Watch: Whether the DDA moves to acquire the buildings, works to broker a private sale to a compatible use, or takes no action.
