The 167-parcel, 73-owner Boyle Heights Industrial Flats BID proposal, which pits property owners citing years of inadequate city services against neighbors worried about gentrification pressure on an already displacement-sensitive corridor, remains in the Los Angeles City Council committee process as of this writing. Issue 5 covered the "both sides are right about something" framing; Issue 6 logged it as advancing to committee stage. No vote has been scheduled as of this research pass.
